This pair of pier tables is adorned with elaborately carved leaf brackets and shell medallions. Remarkably, these tables bear striking resemblance to the games table and side table from the renowned collection at Littlecote House, Wiltshire sold at Sotheby’s London, 20 November 1985, lot 302 and 742. Notably, these pieces share common features, including the shape of the moulded lower edge of the top, serpentine front with a plain frieze, along with tapering square section legs and the exquisite decorative elements such as the chevron stringing along the edge of the tabletop, intricately carved, pierced brackets, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.
