A Louis XVI carved giltwood firescreen, circa 1780, in the manner of Georges Jacob
on shaped legs, with a manuscript label inscribed 'Blanche / 32', with distressed silk, probably Chinese, 18th century, painted with delicate trails of foliage with small pink roses, and further small blue, red and white flowers, with delicate butterflies, on a golden silk ground,
the reverse panel
embroidered with sprigs of delicate flowers and foliage, tied with a tasselled ribbon worked in metal-thread, against a plain golden silk ground
115cm. high, 78.5cm. wide, 44cm. deep; 3ft. 9¼in., 2ft. 7 in., 1ft. 5¼in.
