the Derby Dancer, modeled standing holding her apron with her right hand and with her left arm raised, painted in pale tones of yellow, green and pink, picked out in gilding, her skirt and the scroll-edged base painted with small flower sprigs, the base pierced for mounting.
the Derby Violinist, modeled as a seated gentleman playing a violin, painted in pale tones of yellow, pink and turquoise, his waistcoat painted with puce flowers, picked out in gilding, upon a mound base molded with scrolls.
the Bow 'New Dancer', modeled standing in dancing pose with both hands outstretched, wearing a plumed hat, painted with a pale yellow bodice, pale blue skirt and an apron painted with puce flowers, upon a puce-scroll edged mound base.

A second example of the Derby dancer is in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, acc. no. C.45-1947. A somewhat related figure of a dancer with characteristic slim waist, but with a wider skirt was produced in the 'Dry Edge' period of Derby, an example of which is in the British museum, London, reg. no. 1938,0314.31.CR.
A Derby violinist is illustrated by Yvonne Hackenbroch, Untermyer Collection, Chelsea, London 1957, pl. 96, no. 273. An example was sold at Sotheby's New York, Property from the Collections of Hanns and Elisabeth Weinberg and The Antique Company of New York, November 10-11, 2006, lot 565; Another was sold at Sotheby's, London, September 27, 1977, lot 75.
