the Longton Hall figure, modeled seated playing a hurdy-gurdy, her skirt finely painted with playing cards and flowers, her dress picked out in bright green and yellow, upon a small mound base applied with flowers;
the Bow Figure, after the Meissen model, seated on a mount base playing bagpipes, painted in pale yellow and puce, his jacket embellished with painted playing cards.

Perhaps as little as four examples of this figure in Longton Hall porcelain have appeared at auction in the 20th century: a second was sold at Sotheby's London, May 27, 1986, lot 105; a third, with its pair, sold at Christie's London, November 19, 1979, lot 65; and a fourth was in Thomas Burn Collection, Rous Lench Court, sold, in the same rooms, May 30, 1990, lot 420, illustrated in Bernard Watney, Longton Hall Porcelain, London 1957, pl. 40B.
A Bow Harlequin painted in this palette, together with the companion figure of Columbine, was sold at Sotheby's London, May 25, 1993, lot 289.
