A Saint-Cloud Kakiemon Silver-Mounted Snuff Box and Cover in the Form of a Cat, Circa 1740
modeled in recumbent pose, painted and gilt with vignettes of a crouching Chinoiserie figure beside a fenced garden, its verso painted with pagoda buildings, the hinged cover with similar a Chinoiserie figure and pagoda, the interior of the cover with a figure fishing, silver-mount with Paris discharge mark for 1738-44.
