Two Bow Figures and a Derby Figure, Circa 1755-60
comprising:
a Bow figure of Columbine Dancing, Circa 1758-60, standing in dancing pose holding her apron outstretched, wearing a pink hat, green bodice and flowered skirt, with black and pink bows, upon a puce scroll base,
a Bow figure of a Flower-Seller, Circa 1760, modeled standing with a basket of grapes over her left arm, her right hand holding her apron full of flowers, wearing a blue bodice with pink skirt, her yellow apron painted with pink flowers, the base applied with flowers and with puce scrolls,
a Derby Figure of a Young Girl with Flowers, Circa 1755-58, modeled standing offering out a bunch of poses, holding a basket of flowers in her right hand, her costume painted in pale yellow and pink, her skirt with flower sprigs, upon a small mound base applied with flower heads, incised X mark.

Catalogue note
The Dancing Columbine model at Bow was based on a Meissen figure circa 1745, and is also found in Chelsea porcelain by circa 1752, an example of which is illustrated in Yvonne Hackenbroch, Catalogue of the Untermyer Collection, London 1957, pl. 25, cat. no. 12. A similar figure was exhibited at the English Ceramic Circle Exhibition, 1948, illustrated in the Catalogue, pl. 42, no. 177, along with companion male model (no. 176). The pair later sold at Christie's London, November 25, 1991, lot 109.
