Property of a Lady French Louis XVI A pair of gilt-bronze twin-branch wall lights of Louis XVI Drilled and wired for electricity. Each terminating in two hanging tassels surmounted by grape-clusters and vine leaves, rising into part-fluted stems cast as vines knotted below twin scrolling branches of budding vines, finishing in piled grape clusters and buds, and topped by a trefoil ribbon. Stamped to the reverse: '888'. Dimensions: 21.5 in (H) x 13.5 in (W)

Important Information

We are delighted to offer our Spring fine art and antiques sale on April 27th.

Highlights include a large Sir Alfred Munnings bucolic scene and the contents of three private Belgravia and Chelsea collections, over 60 lots being sold without reserve.

The collection of nudes by PiperGaudier-BrzeskaHiltonNevelsonHitchens etc are a treasure trove.

The Antiquities and early islamic section are abundant with curiosity, intrigue and beauty. Extremely early Quranic folios, an extraordinary giraffe's head carving, a collection of Roman and Renaissance jewellery including a falconry scene cameo set in diamonds, the cameo circa 1480 - breathtaking.
A huge 16th century Nepalese Buddha and a life-size 9th century Khmer torso carving headline one particular collection that also includes thangkas and tanjores.

Old masters are headlined by two enormous paintings - the Panini around 8 feet by 7 feet! With some delicious marines and early equestrian paintings, we are looking forward to seeing you soon.
