This "Veduta" or "Caprice" offers us a panoramic landscape constructed from the reproduction of several monuments of classical style, represented in the left part of the composition. In turn, the figurative theme is used as an excuse for the development of a broad, naturalistic landscape in a classicist style, perfectly framed within the classical Italian Baroque landscape. Thus, the figures are small in relation to the setting, and although they appear in the foreground, clearly visible, they are perfectly integrated into the landscape, which is the true protagonist of the work.
