Measurements: 122 x 100 cm; 73 x 53 cm.
Dutch style frame from the Baroque period, made in ebonised wood. It is a sober design, very much in accordance with the Dutch clientele of the time, mainly bourgeois, but it is at the same time a faithful reflection of the Baroque aesthetics. In fact, there is a marked search for dynamism, which is reflected not only in the curled mouldings but also in the alternation of different mouldings, creating an agile rhythm, and also in the contrast so typical of the baroque taste, here mainly a contrast of textures.
