Extremely rare Waffen-SS visor cap for a General. A high quality example by August Schellenberg. "Aug.Schellenberg Uniformmützenfabrik Berlin" maker marked to the grey silk liner. No cracks to the celluloid diamond. Nice and soft grey sweat-band. Only one small crack to the front. "Stirndruckfrei D.R.G.M. 14.19.504" marked. Black visor with bright grey/white back. Fine aluminum cap eagle (made by Wagner) and skull (made by Overhoff). Both with absolutely matching patina and in great condition. All prongs intact but covered by the lining. Soft black band. Silver piping without any corrosion. Minor moth bites to the grey cloth. A stunning cap with minor signs of wear. Condition 2. Size 56.
