Artist: Howard Terpning
UK Quad "Premiere" Poster for "Cleopatra" (1963). American artist Howard Terpning's original poster illustration depicted just Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton but as Rex Harrison enjoyed equal billing the artwork had to be revised to incorporate Harrison. It is believed that Terpning's design was used on the Quads for the UK premiere and West End release only. British artist Tom Chantrell was responsible for two further Quad designs which were used across the UK. The Terpning "Premiere" Quad is extremely rare and this example is in near mint, unfolded form.
30" x 40" (76 x 102 cm)
Condition: Excellent
Unrestored, unfolded and in superb condition with a couple of tiny edge nicks bottom right rim.
