A CHARMING AND UNUSUAL LATE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN CHILD'S OAK-FRAMED THREE-FOLD DRESSING SCREEN WITH ORIGINAL KATE GREENAWAY-STYLE INK AND WATERCOLOUR ILLUS-TRATIONS AND HUMOROUS ADVERTS, having slightly humped surmounts (one lacking) on reeded toprail, the glazed illustrated panels on open S-form splats, with shaped aprons, the stiles extending as legs, to one side (all three folds) decorated with illustrations of children at play, 43 illustrations in all, to the other side (all three folds) with larger adverts including 'Ink Sah Yes Stebens Sah' (depicting a negro carrying a large bottle of ink), 'Sprats never again/This Dawg had Sprats', 'Sow Suttons seeds, they're Sutton to Grow' 'Koko for her hair. I use no other' (depicting a baby with a single hair, waving her bonnet), one advert dated 1899, 126cm wide x 107cm high, (49.5in x 42in).
