A French gold-cased pocket watch, c.1770, by Jean Marchand, Paris. The 31mm white enamel convex dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the gilt movement signed ‘Jean – Marchand’ and numbered 2167, the gold case set with diamonds surrounding the crystal and relief decorated with flowers in various coloured golds.
