Description
An Irish, silver-cased, fusee, cylinder escapement pocket watch, c.1795, the 42mm white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the gilt movement signed "John Reilly - Dublin" and numbered 781, the backplate and balance cock finely engraved and raised on square baluster-shaped pillars, enclosed in signed gilt metal dust cover also numbered 781. In silver case, the interior gilt, hallmarked for London, 1795, maker-marked 'TG' possibly for Thomas Graham of Bath.
In fine (F) condition, the dial cracked. Winds and runs.
