An 1880s American Watch Co., size 18, open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the gilt, full-plate, 11 jewel movement signed "P.S. Bartlett - Waltham, Mass.", in Ezra C. Fitch patent dustproof silver case with screw-down crown, marked 'Sterling'. Accepted as the World's first dustproof watch.
