A parcel-gilt, silver cased, fusee, lever pocket watch c.1906, the 50mm white-metal engine turned dial with gilt Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. the gilt, full-plate, going barrel movement inscribed "Chronometer Maker to the Admiralty", enclosed by a gilt metal dustcover signed "John Forrest - London" and numbered 94849, the silver case numbered 849, hallmarked for Chester, 1906Edwardian and maker's mark 'SA' for Samuel Alexander.
In about very fine (aVF) condition, the case-back worn. Runs freely.
