A Minton green "Cockatrice" part dinner service, comprising six cups, one teapot, sugar bowl, jug, saucer, tea plate, jug, nine further tea plates, three side plates, ten saucers, together with a similar set and a "Hagda" cream, burgundy and gilt decorated part coffee set
CONDITION REPORTS
The Minton "Cockatrice" part tea service - 2 cups, 4 saucers, 7 tea plates, 3 side plates and the cake plate are OK although a couple appear to be seconds. The rest of the contents all have some kind of damage / don't ring true. The teapot has been badly cracked throughout. The shorter jug has had the handle off and repaired. Many of the plates have hairline fractures, etc. The teacups - some have heavy discolouration. Others have heavy hairline fractures. The sugar bowl has a hairline fracture. Most of the plate, etc. have significant crazing and discolouration. All pieces have general wear and tear to include knife marks. In need of a clean, etc. See images for examples. Of the similar set - 3 saucers have hairline fractures and significant crazing. One cake plate has hairline crack. A couple of the cups don't ring true but can't see why. Otherwise generally poorer quality and general wear and tear, in need of a very good clean, etc. See images for further detail.
