Description
A 19th Century Chinese blanc de chine figure of Guanyin 44 cm high together with two further blanc de chine figures of Guanyin 31 cm and 30.5 cm high and a similar seated figure of Guanyin 18 cm high
CONDITION REPORTS
The larger figure - right fingers of hand all damaged. Fingers of left hand and thumb damaged as is the jar neck. There is a chip to the rear of her cape. Indistinct makers scratch mark to base. Otherwise the piece appears to be intact. First of the smaller figures - left hand damaged and repaired with what appears to be animal glue. Neck broken and repaired and with cracking to the left shoulder. Several chipped areas to the top of the lily pad - see images for further detail. Second of the smaller figures broken and repaired at the neck. Left thumb damaged and missing. Broken around the base of the ankles. Chips to the top of the lily pad - see images for further detail. Seated figure basically sound though dirty, much later in construction
