Description
A pair of late 18th/early 19th Century Chinese porcelain sauceboats of inverted helmet form, the main bodies decorated with floral sprays in oxide reds, blacks and gilt raised on an oval foot 24 cm long x 9.5 cm wide x 9.8 cm high
CONDITION REPORTS
Sauceboat one with hairline crack to one of the top lobes approx. 2 cm vertically. Some signs of wear and dirt to the base. Otherwise in good condition. Some blemishes to the glaze as in firing faults particularly to the underside of the handle exterior and underside of the spout exterior. A small firing fault chip to the left hand side of the spout. Sauceboat two with small hairline crack to the interior beneath the handle, also beneath the glaze approx. .75 cm. Some blemishes to the glaze particularly to the area beneath the spout, again firing faults. See images for further detail
