A Carl Zeiss surveyor's level, Serial No. 11924, in fitted oak box, supplied by Clarkson's Optical Stores 338 High Holborn London, box size 23 cm x 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm, a Brunsviga hand calculator (poss 1925/26), 24 cm wide, bears typed label inscribed "This Brunsviga hand calculator was purchased by Mr W T Halcrow to enable Reginald Sorré Cole to calculate the surge characteristics of the main tunnel in Lochaber Hydro Electric Scheme by an interative process. Cole's paper "The Surge Chamber in Hydro Electric Installations: Methods of Calculation" was published as "Selected Engineering Paper No. 55 by The Institution of Civil Engineers in 1927...", a Bell & Howell 16 mm cine camera in brown leather carrying case and a Polaroid Electric Eye 900 land camera, with flash units in brown leather carrying case
CONDITION REPORTS
Bell & Howell camera only - the leather case is broken, stitching is coming away, rather battered, etc. The camera itself - unknown if working. There are remnants of a glue like substance to the casing and some of the laminate is peeling on the cut out corners. Is grubby all over with some surface scratching and chips to the lacquer. The larger lens is rather dirty. See images. Although appears to be mainly on the exterior, although there is a black mark which appears to be inside the lens. The smaller lens appears again dirty, dusty but generally OK though with a larger scratch to the outside casing. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.
