Description
A late 19th Century copper hinge lidded box by John Pearson, the top with stylised flower head motif and the front with stylised flowers, the back inscribed "JP 1899" 23cm wide x 10 cm deep x 7.5 cm high
CONDITION REPORTS
There is some wear to the copper to the front resulting in some splits. Copper appears to be have cleaned in some places. The back has a different kind of patination. Signs of cleaning fluid remaining. Surface scratches. The felt base is mouldy and worn. Signs of worm to the interior of the wooden box. Lid is slightly off to one side. Some knocks and bumps. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more details.
