CONDITION REPORTS
Tea caddy: the hinge pin is coming out on one side, the other end the hinge is rising up from the main body. General wear and tear, surface scratches, knocks, bumps etc all conducive with age and use. Appears to have been lacquered to the base. The interior lining has been patched at one end and there is crazing to the varnish on the lining to the interior. The other box: the lid has been knocked on all of its corners with the corners therefore being bent. Remnants of cleaning fluid and surface scratches. The interior locking mechanism appears to have been replaced or repaired at some point with bad soldering joints to the interior. Locking mechanism also appears to be missing something. There are holes front and back and a tube to the main body of the lid, however there is nothing to secure it. Also appears to be some kind of spring within the lid but nothing to turn, the finial does not turn.
