Description
An early 19th Century Spode "Japan" pattern royal blue, oxide red and gilt decorated set of twelve teacups and eleven saucers, with seven smaller matching cups, over glaze signed in oxide red to base and No'd. "3095"
CONDITION REPORTS
Of the eleven saucers, three have hairline fractures and one has been damaged and repaired. All have losses to the gilt and enamel decoration and scratches. Of the twelve teacups, two have different back stamp and a further one has significant damage and repairs throughout. All have firing faults, loss to the gilding, enamel decoration etc. Some have discolouration in line with usage. Of the smaller cups, three have extensive damage and repairs and hairline fractures. All have wear to the gilding and enamel decoration. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratches etc. See images for examples
