Description
A Bordallo Pinheiro (Portugal) red and yellow glazed pottery lobster, the head section opening as a box 42 cm long together with another similar Bordallo Pinheiro lobster box and a similar red and yellow glazed crab figure 31 cm wide x 34 cm long
CONDITION REPORTS
Both lobsters have losses to their heads, one has had its legs off and re-attached in several places as well as several tips being off, one off but present. The other larger lobster - the head has been restored with repainting to the interior. One eye is off, the other eye has been restored. Crazing to the glaze on both as well as other areas of chipping and minor losses. The crab has crazing and a couple of small hairline cracks within the glaze including one coming off the eye, there's a small chip to one of the tips of the claws only visible from the underside. All items have general wear and tear, in need of a good clean and have surface scratching and firing faults etc - see images for more details
