A pair of James I carved oak Atlantes, probably from an overmantel, bedhead or chest- front, carved as the head and torso of an heroic male figure on a tapered pedestal with mask and foliage, 51cm h, 9cm w ++In very good condition with minor losses, re-backed on oak in the 19th or early 20th c, one with a small hole about 8cm up from the base
