* GORDON WILSON (SCOTTISH b. 1968), DUMGOYNE & CAMPSIE PERSPECTIVE

oil on panel, signed, titled verso
framed and under glass

image size 49cm x 49cm, overall size 81cm x 81cm

Note: Gordon Wilson is widely recognised as one of Scotland's most exciting and intriguing contemporary artists. Born in 1968, he grew up in Glasgow where he’s still based today. He studied at The Glasgow School of Art and then started out as a designer and picture framer before becoming a full time professional artist. Gordon paints a range of subject matter, ranging from quirky portraiture to emotive land and seascapes, with his deep love of the West Coast of Scotland shining throughout. His colourful kaleidoscopic landscapes, often with wee houses and smoking chimneys (lums) are contrasted with his much loved paintings of wee old ladies (his ‘Biddies’), Belted Galloway Cows (’Belties’) and also boats - characterful Clyde 'puffers.' Over recent years, demand for Gordon Wilson paintings has been significantly increasing both at auction and at gallery level.

Condition of the picture is good overall, with no visible or known issues.
