Note: Jenny Martin was born in 1973 and studied at the University of Edinburgh from 1991 – 1996 where she achieved an MA (Hons) in Fine Art. From 1996 – 1998 she studied at Edinburgh College of Art studying a Postgraduate course in Painting. Jenny has won many prizes and awards including in 2022, she was elected Professional Member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours. In 2003, she won an Outstanding Print Award at the University of Aberystwyth. In 1997, she held the John Kinross Scholarship at the Royal Scottish Academy. Jenny is a painter and printmaker and exhibits regularly throughout the UK and overseas. She has won many awards in both disciplines, including the Aspect Prize for Painting, the Russell Trust Award, the James Torrance Memorial Prize and the Fenton Arts Trust award for her prints. She has work in many private collections both in the UK and abroad, and is represented in several public collections, including the Royal Bank of Scotland, the University of Wales, Edinburgh College of Art and the Royal Scottish Academy. She currently lives in Edinburgh and works as a lecturer at Leith School of Art.
