Gothic. 14th – 15th century.In medieval imagery Saint Ann frequently appears with Mary sitting on her lap, who in turn has Jesus on her knee, an image known as the holy trinity. The saint sits facing forwards, a veil falls from her head to her shoulders and she wears a dress tied under the bust with a belt. In her lap sits Mary, who lovingly holds the Christ Child in her arms. 78 x 26 x 20 cm.
