"Jesus among the doctors of the law" and "The Visitation"
Pair of oil paintings on copper. Two of the five Joyful Mysteries are depicted. These are the Visitation of Mary and her cousin Elizabeth, mother of Saint John the Baptist, while they are both pregnant, and Jesus at the age of twelve having a discussion with the doctors of the law in Jerusalem. In keeping with iconic style, Jesus is seated in the centre on a podium, whilst the doctors listen to him, Mary and Joseph have entered the temple and are looking on with enjoyment.
