Gilded copper sculpture of Christ, engraved and decorated with champlevé enamels. Limoges. France. 13th century.
Depicted with a crowned head and a long perizonium, on which quite a few remains of turquoise and dark blue champlevé enamel can be seen. A splendid piece, very well preserved. On the back is an old collection sticker handwritten in French, showing that the object is from the "Cabinet Denon" collection
