" The Virgin in Seat of Wisdom (Sedes Sapientiae)". Carved polychrome and gilt wooden sculpture. Catalan gothic. 14th century.
The Virgin Mary is crowned and wearing a veil, she is seated with the Christ child on her lap, who is giving blessing with his right hand. Outstanding quality and fine work on the face of Mary, which manages to transmit a sweet serenity. She wears a dress and cloak which fall over her knees, forming pretty folds which reach the floor. Some flaws.
