Robustly potted with a globular body rising to a cylindrical neck, the body superbly painted in rich enamel depicting a mighty ferocious dragon, striding amidst a continuous cloud and bats in various orientations, all below a band of pendent ruyi-heads, the base bordered with a band enclosing crashing tumultuous waves, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark. 19th century. Height: 22 cm, 8 1/2".
