Qianlong period, 18th century, Imperial workshop, of gilt metal and bronze, depicting the bodhisattva Green Tara, seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, the right hand held in varadumudra and the left held aloft in vitarkamudra, each hand supporting an uptala lotus flanking the arms, wearing a five-point crown and adorned with turquoise and coral stones and enameled ''jewels'', backed by a repousse-decorated mandorla and raised overall on a stepped rectangular base relief-decorated with polychromed temple lions, 8.75'' H x 4.625'' W x 3.375'' D, est: $10,000/15,000 Note: All bidders wishing to participate in this auction session must submit a $9,000.00 USD deposit via wire transfer, cash, or cashier's check prior to the auction.
