1045 A gilt-bronze-inlaid marquetry vanity table Third quarter 19th century, apparently unsigned, the hinged shaped top inlaid with cube pattern within a cross-banded border lifting to reveal a mirrored underside and a damask-lined compartment, over a drawer above a pull-out compartment suspended between cabriole legs, the whole with gilt-bronze line inlay, 28.75" H x 22.5" W x 16" D, est:$900/1200 Provenance: Private Collection, Pasadena, CA. Condition: Generally good condition. With marks, rubbed wear and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some heavier scratches to top. Scattered minor chipped losses to veneer along edges, including a 1" loss along lower edge of left-hand side panel, a 1" loss along lower left front leg, and a 3" Loss along lower right front leg.
