1023 Two Louis XVI style parcel-gilt gueridons The first late 19th century, the second early 20th century, each with a circular marble top over a pierced foliate-carved apron interrupted by rosettes over acanthus-headed fluted tapering legs joined by waved stretchers surmounted by garlands centering an `en flambeau` urn-form finial, 2 pcs, the first 27.25" H x 29.25" Dia.; the second 27" H x 28.75" Dia., est:$1000/2000 Note: Not a pair, with variations to size as stated, and to design and decoration, including: the first with an eared top of light grey variegated marble; the second without ears to the top of dark grey and purple variegated marble. The apron of second .25" narrower than apron of first. Variations to carving, including garlands of stretchers as visible in photos, and additional differences. Provenance: Property from an Important Private Collection, Las Vegas, NV. Condition: Each in overall good condition. Structurally sound. General marks, scratches and rubbed wear to surfaces commensurate with age and use. The first: with shrinkage cracks to joints typical for age. One leg wobbles slightly. Rubbed wear, nicks and chipping to gilding throughout revealing red bole and white gesso. Shallow chipping along edge of marble. The second: minor shrinkage cracks. Minor chipping along edge of marble. Scattered rubbed wear and chipping to gilding revealing red bole and white gesso. Your bid indicates acceptance of our Conditions of Sale. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
