1015 A large French bronze figure of a maiden, Moreau Late 19th century, signed "Moreau Mathu Scpt" (Mathurin Moreau, 1822 - 1912 French), depicted stepping forward, holding a basket of flowers, on an integral circular base strewn with flowers, 43.5" H x 17" W x 14" D, est:$2500/3500 Provenance: Private Collection, Pasadena, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches and rubbed wear commensurate with age. Patination of dress with reddish tones indicating dress was probably gilt at one time; gilding now largely rubbed off. A reddish residue to bouquet and to base. The base bent slightly out of round. Two holes drilled to top of figure`s right hand; possibly lacking an element originally affixed to hand. Your bid indicates acceptance of our Conditions of Sale. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
