Early 20th century, signed in the bronze ``Math. Moreau`` (Mathurin Moreau 1822-1912 French) and with foundry seal ``Societe des Bronzes de Paris``, further stamped ``EW`` and ``4567``, patinated and gilt bronze and marble, depicting a winged female figure writing in a book on a pedestal, standing on an integral naturalistic base mounted on a circular metal plinth bearing a plaque inscribed ``Livre d`or / Salon des Beaux Arts``, overall 31.25`` H x 17.5`` W x 10`` D, est: $4000/6000
Provenance: Private Collection, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches and rubbed wear commensurate with age.
