ANDREW NEWELL WYETH (American, 1917-2009) COVER ILLUSTRATION FOR BEN AMES WILLIAMS`S BOOK ""FRATERNITY VILLAGE""

Print on cardstock Housed in a pine carved wood frame behind glass Signed in the print lower left Also titled below image ""Painting by Andrew Wyeth for Ben Ames Williams` New Book ""Fraternity Village"""" (""Fraternity Village"" has been cut off the matte) On verso of cardstock was fitted with attached cardboard easel stand (missing) which was presumably to be used to promote the book in a bookstore NOTE: It is our understanding that this is the only known print of a Wyeth painting that does not fall under the Estates rights of reproduction thus a very rare find SIZE: Overall print: 14-3/4"" x 20-3/4"". Overall: 20-1/2"" x 26-1/4"" PROVENANCE: This work was purchased at an Estate sale on the central Maine coast. The consignor brought it to Andrew Wyeth and Wyeth recognized the work but was not aware that it had actually ever been produced. He told the consignor that it was probably one of a kind and he was extremely lucky to have acquired it. CONDITION: There are adhesive stains to border and into print, some wrinkling and light scuffs. Bottom margin has been trimmed 9-93930

Delay or failure to obtain permits or licenses or contravening laws denying consummation does not relieve the buyer of paying for the item and obtaining title to the item.Please allow 14-21 days from the time your payment has cleared for your purchases to ship. Items paid for by personal or business check will be held for 10 days before being released to the shipping department. We may refuse to insure or ship items we deem too fragile or a shipping risk. We are not responsible for damage to picture frames in shipping. • Shipping Charge: The cost is as per shipper’s rate scales.
• Insurance: The charge for insurance on domestic shipments is $0.75 per $100 value (e.g. a $200 item costs $1.50 for insurance). The insurance charge on international shipments is $1.50 per $100 value
• Packaging Materials: We charge for the packing materials used including boxes, packing materials, and labeling materials.
• Labor Charge: Labor rate for shipping is billed at $38.00/hour. A minimum charge is for fifteen minutes.
