A LARGE RUSSIAN ICON TRIPTYCH, 19TH CENTURY. At center the Holy Visage beneath the Last Supper. The upper section of the left and right wing painted with the Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary, thereby forming the scene of the Annunciation. The left wing also with the Old Testament Trinity and the Archangel Michael, the right wing additionally painted with the Unburnt Thornbush Mother of God and below St. George slaying the dragon. The background and borders cleaned down to the gesso and with some scattered retouching and restoration. 19 inches x 26 inches (open) (49 x 66 cm).
