McLAREN BRUCE: (1937-1970) New Zealand Engineer, Motor Racing Driver and Designer; KEN MILES (1918-1966) British Motor Racing Driver and Engineer. CHRIS AMON (1943- ) New Zealand Motor Racing Driver. Signed card by the three Motor Racing champions, to the verso of an official free pass to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 1966. Individually signed by McLaren, Miles and Amon in bold blue ink. Also signed to a corner by Gilbert Leduc, French Wrestler. Inscribed by McLaren (`to Jeanette, with best wishes´), and by Gilbert Leduc. With corner vouchers missing, although not affecting signatures. EX £100-150 Bruce McLaren died at the very early age of 32, at Goodwood Circuit in England, when his Can-Am car crashed. Ken Miles died in a car crash at Riverside Raceway in California when he was testing a Ford-J car at top speed. In 1966, Henry Ford II is ready to defeat the Ferrari team at Le Mans with his new Ford GT40. When the last Ferrari 330P3 is out and returns to box, the Ford team instructs both Ford GT40 Bruce McLaren & Chris Amon and Denny Hulme & Ken Miles to share the victory and to reach the finish line together. They did so. But the race organization decided later that there can be only one winner, and it would be the one who made the longer distance. McLaren & Amon starting from fourth position, while Hulme & Miles started from second, got therefore the title at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. .

Lots are securely packed in house and shipments are generally made through the Royal Mail using one of their tracked services which will require a signature upon delivery. Overseas deliveries are sent via insured air mail will also require a signature upon delivery. If you require your package to be sent via couriers such as FedEx or DHL please advise us as this will incur additional costs.
