MOSCHELES IGNAZ: (1794-1870) Bohemian Composer and piano Virtuoso. Friend and teacher of Mendelssohn. A.L.S., I Moscheles, two pages, 8vo, Leipzig, 23rd February 1852, to an unidentified correspondent, in French. Moscheles states in part `..It is quite urgent because there are only two Gewandhaus concerts on 4th and 11th March and the last one is booked for Mme Schumann…You should come the earliest possible so the Directors of the concerts can listen to you and see you performing, I´ll make my best..´ With blank integral leaf. Folded. VG £200-300
Clara Schumann (1819-1896) German distinguished Pianist of romantic era and Composer. Married to Robert Schumann. She was the first to ever perform a work of Brahms.
