A pottery mug printed in black with portraits and inscribed for the 1907 Brigg bye-election, a mug for the 1923 anniversary of the Borough of Morecombe and a rare Wedgwood trio inscribed with thanks for Nov 15 1922 (5) * Sir Berkeley Sheffield won Brigg in Lincolnshire for the conservatives defeating Captain Frederick Guest, a distinguished and much decorated soldier, also assistant private secretary to Winston Churchill (1907-1910) he variously represented East Dorset, Stroud, Bristol North and Plymouth Drake Col Rt Hon Josiah Clement Wedgwood D.S.O held Newcastle-under-Lyme from 1906 to 1942 when he was raised to the Peerage Initially a Liberal he joined the Labour Party, becoming a member of the first Labour Cabinet in 1924
