1832 Northumberland Election: a desirable Sunderland pink lustre decorated mug printed and inscribed with a named likeness of Beaumont also naming Ord, 100mm, hairline crack Illustrated * Thomas Wentworth Beaumont (1792-1848) succeeded his father as Whig MP for Northumberland in 1818 representing the seat until 1837 save for the period 1826-30 when, having been defeated in the notorious Alnwick election and fighting a duel with Lambton in the process, he bought a seat at Stafford In 1832 he fought alongside fellow Whig (and former MP for Morpeth) William Ord (1781- 1855) Beaumont topped the poll however Ord was defeated.

Purchases may be collected by prior appointment from London.  The Auctioneer may pack and send small consignments by Royal Mail Special Delivery,  Whilst every effort will be made to ensure litems are properly packed no responsibility can be accepted by the Auctioneer or his agents for any loss or damage sustained in transit by Royal Mail with whom insurance cover will be arranged.
