Catalogue note:
Jean-BaptisteDussillon was a student at the Ecole de Dessin in Lille, France. He painted grisailles, church interiors, landscapes and still lifes. In his later years, he opened a shop where he sold all kinds of painting equipment, as well as owning a confectionery shop.
Condition Report:
The painting surface is in good condition. Panel has been split into 3 separate sections, held together by 2 horizontal wooden planks, verso. The two splits run vertically down the center and left side of the painting.
