A late 19th century French black slate timepiece garniture, the timepiece with brass single train movement with visible Brocot escapement, the four inch dial with skeleton workings to the centre within a gilt and painted chapter ring bearing Arabic numerals, the architectural case decorated and carved with gilt stylised leaves and berries, on a rectangular plinth base, 39cm wide, 33cm high, together with a pair of matching tazzas, the dish tops above stepped square pedestals, 24.5cm high
