A rare proof copy of the English First edition, with pencil annotations throughout, various pieces of additional text laid down, last leaf with four printer's proof stamps (of W S Cowell Ltd, printer and lithographers, Ipswich), also loosely inserted slip of paper inscribed 'Final Proof, read 20.8.34'
