A Staffordshire bone china bat-printed milk jug, probably New Hall, printed in puce and painted after Adam Buck with two vignettes of a woman seated on chaise longue, her child at her side, each holding a small racket, the child a shuttlecock and two vignettes of fruit, blue-line rims, height 14cm (5 1/2in), circa 1820 (small hairline crack to rim)
