Attributed to Hinton Gibbs, A framed group of portrait silhouette miniatures depicting the Deck Family, a Cambridge family of Pharmacists; Mrs John Deck of Bury; Mrs Francis; Mrs Thomas Hopkins; Capt. William Norris Snr.; Mrs Norris, 2nd wife; Capt. William Norris Jnr.; Mrs Isaiah Deck; each back painted on glass, each oval 8.5 x 7 cm and 7.5 x 6 cm the eight portraits mounted in an ebonised and canted rectangular frame Included with the lot are a quantity of letters pertaining to the possible donation of the frame and its contents to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, a leaflet on the Deck family, a Cambridge family of pharmacists, and various photographs. The Fitzwilliam Museum have declined the offer of the miniatures.
