Anon. sale:Christie's 8 June 1979, lot 111, (illustrated and incorrectly titled Man Galloping by the Shore); thence to the present owner.

Exhibited: London, Walker Gallery , Pictures of Life in the West of Ireland, 1912, no.38. New York, Armory, International Exhibition of Modern Art, 1913 (not numbered)
