Large Panel from a Crashed American Curtiss P-40 Warhawk Aircraft, impressive large section, believed to the from the side of the aircraft, removed from the crash site of a American Curtiss P-40 Warhawk aircraft which is stated to have been found in Russia. The panel retains some of the original paint and remains of the original US Air Force star emblem. Made from multiple pieces of riveted aircraft aluminium with the strut supports to the reverse. Curved and worn with some sections missing and cut. Approximate measurements 40 x 33 inches. The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was the third most produced aircraft of WW2. This single seater fighter aircraft of the US Army Air Corps was used by Fighter Pilots and Ground Attack units. Used in both the European and Pacific theatres of war. In November 1944 production of this aircraft was ceased. The aircraft was used by most of the allied air forces during WW2.Please note due to size shipping will be more than a standard parcel both in the USA and Internationally.
